The Whistler Arts Council
The Whistler Arts Council has a strong presence
in Whistler and strives to build and integrate arts into the
fabric the Whistler community. The Arts Council also produces a
number of festivals, events and programs throughout the year
including: The Performance Series, Children's Art Festival, Bizarre
Bazaar, Artwalk, Celebration 2010: Whistler Arts Festival,
ARTrageous, Whistler Business and the Arts Awards, student art

Whistler Art Galleries
Established as well as emerging BC artists can be found at the
Art Junction Gallery, Adele Campbell Gallery, Mountain Galleries,
The Plaza Galleries and the Whistler Village Gallery. For prominent
First Nations artists, The Path Gallery and the Black Tusk Gallery
are the ones to visit.
First Nations Art and Culture
Opening 2006, the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre will be a
world-class First Nations Cultural Centre celebrating the joint
history of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations. The cultural experience
will combine theatrical performances, interpretive centre, exhibits and
demonstrations. There will be an authentic First Nations restaurant,
an eco-tour booking centre as well as arts/crafts demonstrations of
local aboriginal art. The main building is 25,000 sq. ft. and is under construction
across from the Fairmont Chateau Whistler on Blackcomb Way on 1.6

Other Arts Performances and Events
Whistler's centre for arts, culture and inspiration is Maurice young
Millennium Place. It is a gallery, performance theatre, daycare, youth
